Many of you might know Xandra within the Muslim community on tumblr. As a friend, I would like to help Xandra and her mother out of this situation. Please help them by trying to raise money for her hardworking mother to get a new home. She wants to reach the goal of $2500 throughout the next two months (which include Ramadan) before her mom’s birthday on August 17th. $2500 would be enough to cover a down payment on a new apartment for her mom to live on her own (her mother is going through a divorce). If you can help in any way, I’m sure Xandra and her mom would appreciate it. Jazak’Allah khair!

- This year, by her birthday (August 17th), I’d like to raise $2500 for her to put a down payment on a new place for her to live, which would be closer to her work and would allow her to move forward in life and make her happy. I want more than anything for this to happen, especially since it’ll be over the course of Ramadan and ‘Eid. My mom and I are both converts to Islam, and she has had a hard journey through life, especially after being estranged from friends and family, and I think this would be a wonderful way to give back to her. In Islam, it is said that “Heaven lies at the feet of the mother”, and I want to be able to do something for the amazing woman who gave birth to me and raised me.
